Now for back splashes they don’t charge by the square foot. A normal size is about 15 to 20 square foot which cost $600, big box retail is $810. Now it does get pricey if you add in a lot of design work, our cost on that is around $750, big box retail is $1012.50.

One big box store uses Leggett & Platt padding. We use Carpenters Padding because it comes with a lifetime guarantee. More bang for your buck, and it cost less.
Just a little info on the specials that Big Box stores are running on carpet installation. They say that you can get a whole house installed for $97. Here’s one of the the catches, not to mention you have to buy so many square feet to qualify. They are still paying us the installers the same price but they have marked the carpet and padding up to cover paying for us to install it plus they marked it up enough to still make money off both of them.
